Classic and elegant design with an updated twist: an elongated form on an individually poured rubber sole. The shoe is elegant yet modern, comfortable yet chic. The skins are selected and placed according to the size of the pattern. Next, the skins are cut and the preliminary stitches are made before being sent to be re-polished and sealed. The delicate and rigorous process of hand sewing the upper along the forma begins. The sewn upper must remain mounted on the forma for two days to allow the skins to adapt to their new shape. Next, the painstaking process of hand sewing the upper to the sole begins and is particularly time consuming because our Norvagese edging involves 3 distinct rows of hand stitching. This collection is a highly labor intensive design, with each pair often requiring more than 22 hours of active fabrication. Our clientele’s sensibilities allow them to fully fathom the passion that each pair demands. |
